IDC detailed description
Instructor Development Course (IDC)
Participating in a PADI IDC (Instructor Development Course) is one of the most rewarding things, that most scuba instructors will ever do. It is not only a course, but a journey of self discovery and fun. It sets the benchmark for your new lifestyle and career, and creates friendships that last a lifetime. In as little as two and a half weeks, you can be living your dreams as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, in the most exotic, and exciting destinations in the world.
And it all starts right here, at Palm Beach Divers.
Our PADI Instructor Development Course is run over 14 days, that is twice as much time as the industry standard! Why do we do that? We do not believe in only getting you through the course and on to the exam. We expect our IDC participants will find employment and start their new careers after the Instructor Exam, and so they need to be ready. At Palm Beach Divers you will not only learn how to teach PADI courses, but how to market and sell those courses, and how to set up those courses so that your students are also able to be successful and have fun.
These are the skills that make some instructors stand out from the rest, and enable them to
travel the world and easily find work wherever they go.
At Palm Beach Divers we include the required Emergency First Response Instructor course at no additional charge. Being an Emergency First Response Instructor is not only a requirement for being a PADI instructor, but it is one of the easiest and most fun ways to earn money as an instructor. Getting people learning while laughing and dancing is the best way to show your students that learning life saving skills can be fun and easy if you know how.
At Palm Beach Divers you will learn how.
In addition to the standard PADI Instructor Development program Palm Beach Divers includes a wide range of exclusive free seminars and workshops to our instructor students. These seminars and workshops have been developed specially for Palm Beach Divers students. These include; resume/CV writing; equipment repair and maintenance; how to create and profit from dive travel programs; PADI paperwork made easy; PADI online procedures and programs.
Also we include in-water workshops on student control, ascents and descents, Discover Scuba Diving, lift bag use, knot tying, and how to teach the Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent.
In the Palm Beach Divers classroom you will find state of the art teaching facilities available to you including our training pool and open water sites just steps away. As scuba training moves forward into a digital age it is important to understand the technological changes that are occurring in the industry, and have the chance to use these technologies for yourself. PADI’s eLearning and new tablet based courses are the new normal, and being on the comfortable with those technologies will set you apart as an instructor.
There are many places in the world to do your PADI instructor development course, but only a few can offer a whole package that includes hands on personalized PADI open water scuba
instructor courses with world class diving. Palm Beach Divers is that place.
Start living your dream today as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor!
