The HTMS Kled Kaew s a popular wreck dive site in Thailand. However, it is located off the coast of the nearby island of Koh Phi Phi Leh, rather than the main Phi Phi Islands.
The HTMS Kled Kaew is a former Royal Thai Navy vessel that was intentionally sunk in 2014 to create an artificial reef and diving attraction. It rests at a depth of around 25 meters, making it accessible to recreational divers. The wreck is approximately 47 meters long and features multiple levels, including the bridge and engine room.
The wreck has become a thriving habitat for a wide range of marine life. Divers can expect to see schools of colorful fish, such as snappers, fusiliers, and lionfish, as well as various species of corals and sea anemones. There are also opportunities to encounter larger marine creatures like barracudas, turtles, and reef sharks in the vicinity of the wreck.
